The Flemish Radio Orchestra was established in 1935 under the aegis of
the public broadcasting network. In 1998 the orchestra became independent
and started to developing its own activities which includes many classical
concerts and recordings but they are also active in performing and
recording film music.

The orchestra have since 2000 have been the
orchestra "in residence" for the Flanders International Film Festival and in
2005 they performed the music of Maurice Jarre at the Berlin Film
Festival. They were also chosen as the orchestra to record with Howard
Shore his original soundtrack recording of THE AVIATOR
Based in the superb acoustic of the Studio 4 concert hall in the Flagey
building in Brussels, the orchestra as able to offer, through Tadlow Music,
advantageous rates for weekly and daily recording packages. |
